A Word Concerning Chauffeur Gratuities and Service Charges
We often receive questions about tipping our chauffeurs. Our chauffeurs earn their gratuities from clients every time they provide service. When considering your tip, please remember that our chauffeurs rely on these gratuities. Tips play a crucial role in ensuring we have the happiest, friendliest, most helpful, and professional chauffeurs in the area.
Suggested Minimum Gratuities
For your convenience, we collect a minimum suggested gratuity on most trips. This practice ensures you are not burdened with out-of-pocket cash during your travels and simplifies your company’s expense reporting process by providing a documented receipt for the gratuity paid to the chauffeur. Many companies prefer this approach to ensure their guests incur no expenses for transportation related to business or hospitality purposes. The dollar amount may vary depending on the trip rate and the gratuity the paying client has allocated. All gratuity amounts are at the paying client’s discretion. The suggested minimum gratuity is optional and can be adjusted up or down upon the client’s request.
Additional Gratuities
Many clients feel that our chauffeurs provide exceptional service and value beyond the minimum suggested gratuity. If you feel this way, there are several ways to increase the gratuity:
- You can call, email, or text us with your reservation number to change the gratuity percentage for a specific trip or for all your trips.
- You may add a specific additional dollar amount to a particular trip.
- You can also tip in cash directly at the point of service. Choose the method that works best for you!
Service Charges
In certain instances, a service charge may be assessed instead of a gratuity. This can occur due to compliance issues on out-of-area and international trips, where gratuity amounts may differ between affiliate partners. In these cases, the minimum suggested gratuity will be paid by The Limo Service Houston according to our agreements with our affiliate companies.
Please note that any undocumented payments or cash given directly to the chauffeur are considered gratuities and cannot be credited or adjusted toward the trip fare.
